Schmitz ‘n’ Giggle Presents:
The Comedy Writer’s Room
WHAT: A monthly sketch comedy writing opportunity. A facilitator leads each session with a focus skill. After, we’ll break into small groups to write and then return to the large group to read and discuss.
WHEN: One Sunday a month, 1-5 PM (see schedule, below)
WHERE: Initial sessions on zoom, later sessions may be hybrid or in-person
WHO: Open to writers of all experience levels
WHY: Learn about sketch comedy writing, polish your skills, meet others in the Milwaukee performing community, have fun
HOW (much): $10 per session or $75 for all eight sessions.

- October 16: Improv as a Sketch Writing Tool: Mike Kauth & Andrew Kerr
In November, writers will have an option to submit a sketch for consideration for the show in December. We will work together to “punch-up” the sketches chosen and to cast the show.
On December 3rd, we will have a show of these sketches. More information about show details will be shared at a later date.
